Amazon Web Services Inc. (AWS), has announced a new AWS Solutions program to solve common cloud problems. The program provides packaged resources to help users of the cloud and speed up their projects. AWS Solutions are technical reference implementations that have been vetted by AWS Architects, AWS Partners, and designed to help customers solve common problems faced worldwide by their peers,” the company stated in a last week post. “AWS Solutions are designed to be efficient, performant, reliable and secure. They can also be cost-effective and well-architected. Each AWS Solution comes with the following resources:

  • Deployment guide
  • Instructions for manual and automated deployments

These solutions can be applied to a wide variety of technology and industry topics. There are many use-case examples that illustrate how to:

  • AWS allows you to collect and process vehicle data.
  • Simulate IoT device fleets
  • Automate common cloud operations practices
  • Dynamically alter image files in real time

The solutions cover a wide range of topics, including analytics and application integration, as well as storage and serverless. AWS created most of the solutions, while some were co-developed with partners like Trend Micro, Cloudwick Technologies, and Pariveda. The Solution Space program is also featured on the new AWS Solutions site. AWS claims it offers “scalable and secure solutions that are ready for customers” and was created by AWS Partner Network Partners (APN) and AWS. These solutions are organized according to use case and can be used to drive customer success in specialized areas. Participants are awarded designations through the AWS Competency Program that demonstrate technical proficiency.
